If you’re looking to buy a new iPhone, check out our guides to the iPhone SE, and how to buy a cheap iPhone.

Best iPhone cases for seniors

First up in our guide to the best iPhone accessories for seniors is a case.

Obviously there are hundreds, if not thousands available. A lot depends on the level of protection you want.

If you’re prone to dropping your phone, its worth investing in a more rugged case, and we think Speck’s Presidio Grip is the best. It’s rugged without being horrible chunky, and also looks great.

Speaking from personal experience, my wife’s phone has been kept safe in one of these for over a year, a record for her not breaking a screen…

Make sure you get the tight case for your iPhone model, and Speck makes them in a huge range of colors as well.

If you’re not quite so worried about dropping your phone, or want something a little more subtle, we’d recommend Apple’s own range – the silicon cases are a really great, long lasting case, while the leather cases also look brilliant, and age really well.

The best iPhone stylus for seniors

A stylus can be a great way to use your iPhone, and rather like cases, there are thousands out, ranging from cheap to designer versions.

Here’s a few to choose from:

Best stylus for seniors

If you struggle to hold a pen, then don’t worry – there’s a stylus for you too. We’d recommend this iPad pencil designed for kids, which work really well for older owners who struggle with a thin pencil as well. It’s also pretty bright so you’re unlikely to lose it…

The best iPhone power cables for seniors

It’s also well worth buying a second power cable (known as a lightning cable) as Apple’s have a tendency to not last very long. Look for something with a braided cord, as it’ll last a lot longer.

It’s also worth noting that its not essential, and in fact not always a good idea, to leave your iPhone plugged in all day charging.

If you want a longer cable to reach your favourite chair, we’d recommend Anker’s 10ft cable, which is certified by Apple.

Otherwise, there’s a huge choice. Do be aware, however, that low quality cables can be a fire risk under some circumstances, so for the sake of a few dollars, it’s usually worth either buying our Anker recommendation above, or looking for a cable that it certified by Apple (which manufacturers will have in the description of their cable).

Best wireless chargers for seniors

And if you want to get super fancy with your charging, then a wireless charger is a great investment, and doubles as somewhere safe to keep your phone at night.

We’ve found that Anker wireless chargers are both cheap and reliable. Although do note the Anker stands don’t come with a power adapter – most people have a couple lying around, but if you don’t Anker’s is a great choice.

If you’re willing to spend a little more, the RAVpower is a great buy as it’ll charge a phone to 50% within an hour.

All the chargers we’ve picked are available as pads or stands. We like the stand version, as you’ll be able to see the screen if your charger is on a bedside table, for instance.

Best iPhone stand for seniors

A stand can keep your phone upright so can read the screen without having to hold it. It’s a great accessory if you’re reading a book for instance, or if you want to you your phone as a digital photo frame to show off family snaps.

That’s the end of our best iPhone accessories for seniors article – happy shopping!
